Meet Jaclyn Ruthven

Jaclyn is the founder of Better Me Therapy and is a dedicated paediatric occupational therapist. She graduated in 2005 from WITS University in South Africa with a B.Sc in Occupational Therapy.

She has since gained extensive experience working in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, private practice, and both mainstream and special development schools.

Jaclyn ran her own private practice in South Africa for over a decade before relocating with her husband and two children to Australia, where she continues her passion for helping children and their families reach their full potential.

Jaclyn believes in a play-based approach to therapy and has post-graduate training in Ayres Sensory Integration. She uses a strengths-based approach to equip and empower parents and caregivers to connect with their children and assist in their development. Jaclyn approaches therapy through an occupational therapy framework, with the heart of a parent, ensuring that her methods are both empathetic and effective.
